First New Moon for 2017 – New Moon in Aquarius 28th January 2017

Our first New Moon for 2017 falls into the detached and innovative sign of Aquarius. We can therefore use this New Moon energy to our advantage by thinking outside the box, viewing things in a different light, using our imagination and being creative.

Coupled with this first New Moon in Aquarius is the commencement of the Chinese New Year (being Yin Fire Rooster). The Yin female energies for this 2017 Chinese New Year will help us to tune into our instincts, allowing us to follow our intuition, and in turn assisting us to follow our dreams and hopes and wishes.

Our First Full Moon for 2017 – Moon in Cancer

With the moon representing our emotions, intuition, feelings and with Cancer being a watery, sensitive, emotional sign, then this first Full Moon in Cancer is sure to provide great opportunities to explore the deep, intuitive side of ourselves, what is truly in our hearts and souls.

Even though this first Full Moon in Cancer will be full of high energy and tension, we can trust our intuition and stay grounded and focused with the Sun in Capricorn..

The Last New Moon for 2016 in Capricorn

With 2016 coming to an end, this last New Moon in Capricorn is a time for making some solid plans and to also think about who and what we want to take forward with us into our brand new 1 Year of 2017.

We will also have the assistance of Neptune in Pisces to illuminate and assist us with the special, spiritual energy of this New Moon.

Under the calming, steady influence of this New Moon if we tune into our intuition, trust our instincts and listen to the magical energy being offered, the easier and brighter our pathway will be moving forward into 2017.

Full Moon in Gemini – the last full Supermoon for 2016

The last Full Supermoon for the year 2016 is in the sign of Gemini. With the year 2016 being a year of endings and letting go, this final Full Moon illumination will lead us into the new year, offering us new beginnings and new doors being opened to us.

This Full Moon in Gemini will be busy and full of energy but will also be settled down somewhat being opposition the planet Saturn. Add to that with the planet Mercury in the shadow period of going retrograde the message will be to carefully consider actions and opinions before making any decisions.

The Full Moon in Gemini may make us feel like we are being pulled in two directions. But with serious Saturn to assist we should concentrate on releasing negative energy and letting go – taking notice of the lessons learnt in 2016 and being open to receive “new beginnings” being offered in 2017.

Full Moon and Supermoon – 14th November 2014

This particular full moon falls into the sign of Taurus, which will bring about illumination (and being a Supermoon means the moon will appear closer, fuller and brighter than it has in the last 70 years or so).

The full moon in Taurus will bring about a grounding, calming and practical effect especially as the Moon is also exalted in the sign of Taurus.

With the Sun in Scorpio opposite Moon in Taurus our emotional and spiritual energies will also be highlighted. This will also be a good time to bring about closure to those events which were brought to light with our October New Moon (30th October Moon in Scorpio).

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Pisces – Friday 16th September 2016

This will be the last lunar eclipse for 2016, and with the Moon being in the watery and intuitive sign of Pisces we need to focus on spirituality (as this event will be felt on both a conscious and unconscious level).

This lunar eclipse will bring things to our attention – relationships may be highlighted – but we can use this lunar eclipse as an emotional adjustment, to re-set our emotions.

In fact with the Full Moon in Pisces, the Universe will be offering peaceful, gentle, loving energy – this will in turn encourage us to continue moving forward – and with the assistance of Jupiter in Libra our relationships should be turning towards balance, happiness and harmony.

Mercury Retrograde in Virgo August/September 2016 plus Solar Eclipse in Virgo on 1st September 2016

Mercury retrograde is traditionally associated with communication and technology breakdowns, nervous anxiety, travel delays and lost items. But interestingly during this particular Mercury Retrograde we have some some beneficial aspects to both loving Venus and lucky Jupiter, which should smooth over the normally difficult and annoying Mercury Retrograde period.

Adding to our already interesting August/September 2016 period we have a solar eclipse on 1st September with Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter all being in the sign of Virgo! This solar eclipse will open new doors for us but we must ensure to take things slowly as Mercury in Retrograde will add to the confusion of how to proceed on our new pathways.

Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon in Aquarius

The mission of this lunar eclipse on Thursday 18th August is to take the exciting changes and new discoveries in your life and turn them into optimistic plans for a brighter future. Saturn square Neptune has brought so much fear and anxiety recently so now it is time to use positive thinking to make the most of new opportunities.

The Full Moon is all about peaking and releasing the old: letting go of the negative, lower energies that come from upsets or any negative events, as well as negative patterns you may have fallen into.

Full Moons are about releasing toxic thoughts, toxic people and negative habits. Full Moon time is when we should release the things that are no longer useful in our lives: guilt, fear, disappointment, jealousy – anything that’s counterproductive and negative.

Even though we might not be able to clearly view this eclipse, we will most certainly be able to feel it.

Sun in Leo and New Moon in Leo

Earlier this month when the Sun was in Leo and New Moon in Leo it would have brought about the fun, creative, generous side of us – it can enable us to “dream big” and bring about confidence and leadership. This was the best time for self-love and then paying it forward by spoiling someone special. The New Moon in Leo is a good time for self-expression, for playfulness and romance. And of course depending upon where Leo is represented in your personal Astrology Chart, this Sun/Moon Leo combination will show where you are ready to “shine”.
