Full Moon in Scorpio – Sunday 29th April 2018

Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that we have not yet dealt with in our lives.

Pluto is often seen as the sign of death, rebirth, endings and unconditional love. We are being encouraged to use this particularly potent and intense Pluto Full Moon energy to face our fears, stand up to our demons, dig deep into our inner resources and release anything or anyone that is toxic in our lives.

This emotionally charged Scorpio energy can be used to release, disengage and surrender. Although this may be daunting, the rewards from this Pluto Full Moon will be great, as it will also be offering us intuition, insight and transformation.

Our Full Moon in Scorpio is also aligned with Mars, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, offering us determination, stability, growth and final success.

New Moon in Aries – Sunday 15th April 2018

The fiery New Moon in Aries is mainly going to be offering us the chance to think about ourselves, our personal identity – paying attention to what we need and understanding ourselves on a deeper level. The energy of this Aries moon is going to be enthusiastic, energetic and pioneering; offering us success through change.

We also have Uranus, Sun and Mercury in Aries assisting us to be independent, open to change, looking ahead and focusing on the future. This New Moon in Aries is about reinventing, reassessing, and allowing us to let the past go and be enthusiastic about what is yet to come. It is time for us to let go of the ways that are not working and release poisonous relationships that continue to hold us back.

As the late spiritual poet/philosopher John O’Donohue wrote – “Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning that is at one with your life’s desire.”

Blue Full Moon in Libra – Saturday 31st March 2018

The month of March begins and ends with two Full Moons, with our Blue Full Moon falling into the peaceful, loving sign of Libra. An astrological Blue Moon describes the second Full Moon in a month – so having a Blue Moon in both January and March 2018 is very significant indeed. This Blue Full Moon is offering us an opportunity to work through our fears, transform negative thought patterns into positive thoughts, and to release anything or anyone in our lives which no longer serve a positive purpose.

With our end of month Full Moon in Libra we are being asked to look at our relationships and partnerships. Our Full Moon in Libra is also offering us success through positive change.

We also have Mars, Saturn and Pluto in the serious, responsible and structured sign of Capricorn, along with Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus in the fiery sign of Aries. So if our emotions are fluctuating between love and war, then we are being encouraged to use this peaceful, harmonious Libran energy to rise above the emotional drama and view our feelings from a higher, spiritual perspective.

New Moon in Pisces – Saturday 17th March 2018

March is always a significant month, as it brings about the commencement of the new astrological year (being on Wednesday 21st March, as the Sun moves into Aries). This will be the beginning of a new 12 month astrological cycle.

As we already know, the New Moon is an excellent time to turn over a new leaf and make a fresh start; and as we are nearing the end of this year’s astrological cycle, we are being encouraged to wrap up loose ends and plant seeds for the future.

Alongside our New Moon we also have Neptune and Chiron in Pisces, asking us to be more compassionate, understanding, sensitive and sympathetic with ourselves and others. The potent energy of our New Moon in Pisces makes it a good time to commit to personal goals, as well as using our creativity, imagination, romance, spirituality and intuition to make important, positive changes in our lives.

We also have Jupiter Retrograde in Scorpio to assist us with prosperity, expansion, reflection, healing and happiness. There is a lot of change and awakening to be found with our last New Moon for this astrological cycle, signifying that March is definitely going to be one of the most pivotal months of the year.

Full Moon in Virgo – Thursday 1st March 2018

This is the first of two Full Moons in March, following on from February which had no Full Moons at all. Our first Full Moon falls in the practical, earthy sign of Virgo.  To make the best use of this earth energy we are being asked to pay attention to our diet, but not only the food we eat but everything we absorb in our daily lives; thoughts, ideas, information and attitudes.

We also have Sun, Mercury, Venus and Neptune all in the intuitive and compassionate sign of Pisces. This is about us connecting with our own spiritual path and our work/life balance. We also have Saturn in the earthy sign of Capricorn to offer us patience and emotional strength to deal with any sensitive or difficult relationship issues.

Our Full Moon in Virgo is highlighting our thoughts, emotions, and feelings; perhaps we will recognise that we haven’t been as tender and nurturing to ourselves as we have been to others. Only then will we see that this is something that must be addressed and fixed.

New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius – Thursday 15th February 2018

Eclipses are always powerful astrological events – particularly as these eclipses are part of a 19 year cycle which began back in 1999. The 19 year cycle is the realignment of the Sun, Moon, and the Earth when they return to the same point in their relationship.

The month of February will continue to be about relationships and love, with Valentine’s Day falling the day before our New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius. We also have our Chinese New Year beginning on Friday 16th February 2018 – Yang Earth Dog – offering us stability and grounding energy.

We have Sun, Moon and Mercury all in the sign of Aquarius, so our thoughts will tend to be focused on friendships, relationships and communication with others. And with this potent Aquarius energy, we have the chance to make progressive changes in our lives.

We also have Venus, the planet of love and beauty, in the intuitive and compassionate sign of Pisces.  Neptune and Chiron are also in Pisces asking us to consider unconditional love, forgiveness, healing, understanding, creativeness and imagination – but with Mercury in Aquarius we are being offered the freedom to make our own choices.

Full Super Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Leo – Wednesday 31st January 2018

This month’s Super Moon (as the moon is in a close position to the earth making it appear super big, super bright and super close to us) occurs in the dramatic sign of Leo. This is also a Blue Moon being the second Full Moon of the month. Added to that we also have a Lunar Eclipse on this Full Moon, making this a particularly intense and significant event.

Leo is all about creativity, generosity, romance and shining bright. We can use this strong, potent Leo Moon energy to connect deeply with our hearts, and to express ourselves humbly and purely. This Super Full Moon is also about relationships and friendships – we are being asked to use this Leo energy to take some time out to nurture ourselves but always with respect and consideration for others.

Under the karmic power of this Full Super Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Leo, the words of the Buddha offer this truth: If anything is worth doing, do it with all your heart.

New Moon in Capricorn – Wednesday 17th January 2018

The first New Moon of 2018 falls in the earthy sign of Capricorn. We also have Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Pluto all in the sign of Capricorn, directing us to slowly start building, restructuring and creating. The Universe is also giving us an opportunity to act, to move forward and to achieve our goals as all planets are currently in direct motion (we have no retrograde planets at this point in time).

Uranus is currently in Aries but as the natural ruler of Aquarius we are being asked to accept whatever change is being offered to us, but first we must allow ourselves to feel this strong, earth energy of our New Moon in Capricorn. To assist us with this we have Mars in Scorpio along with Jupiter in Scorpio to remind us that our material goals also need to be fueled by passion.

Whenever the New Moon takes place in the sign of Capricorn, this is the best time to think about what we want to achieve, to set goals and to make plans for the future. We are being asked to use the constructive traits of Capricorn and to consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives.

Full Super Moon in Cancer – Tuesday 2nd January 2018

The first Full Moon of each year is also known as the Wolf Moon. The wolf is a powerful and spiritual creature, and with the magic of this special Full Moon we are being asked to remain open to this very spiritual, emotional and psychic energy associated with it.

This Full Super Moon occurs in the sign of Cancer, which is the Moon’s natural astrological ruler, with Moon in Cancer representing emotions, comfort, nurturing, home and family.

But we also have some strong earth energy occurring alongside this watery Moon with the Sun, Venus, Saturn and Pluto all being in the sign of Capricorn, offering us initiative, courage and positive change.

Neptune is in Pisces (also being the natural astrological ruler of Pisces), and together with the Full Moon in Cancer we can start this 2018 New Year with compassion, empathy and forgiveness.
